Certified Construction Industry Finance Professional (CCIFP)
The Certified Construction Industry Finance Professional (CCIFP) professional certification program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial management and accounting principles as they relate to the construction industry. The program is divided into four modules, covering topics ranging from financial statements and cost control to estimating and jobsite general conditions. Upon completion of this program, candidates will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to become certified professionals in the construction industry finance field.
Certification Program Objectives:
- Understanding financial management and accounting principles and how they apply to the construction industry
- Familiarizing oneself with construction accounting methods, construction contracts, project management, and risk analysis
- Developing skills in estimating and jobsite general conditions, including work breakdown structures, quantity take-off, and pricing
- Gaining knowledge in financial statements, cost control, earned value analysis, and activity-based costing, including balance sheets, income statements, financial ratios, and job cost financial reports.
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CCIFP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
