Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) is a component of the Asset Integrity Management (AIM) program for offshore structures. Assisting in the preparation of an inspection plan utilizing the class generic strategy. It aims to optimize the inspection effort by allocating more resources to high-risk areas and fewer to low-risk areas. The RBI program offers additional benefits, such as a logical foundation for inspection plans and efficient instruments for their enhancement.

The purpose of the RBI Training for Offshore Structures course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of offshore and marine system inspection and maintenance. As an offshore or marine engineer or manager, it is crucial to understand the operating, inspection, and maintenance requirements and practices of the offshore, subsea, and marine industries.

Certification Program Objectives: 

• Techniques for offshore platform inspection
• Inspection of immovable offshore structures based on risk
• Inspection of floating offshore installations based on risk

• Examination of the FPSO and FLNG

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience

Certifying Examination:

• To be certified as CRBIOSP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
• The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
• Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
