Certified Control Hazard and Operability Analysis Professional (CCHAZOAP)
CHAZOP is a structured technique for identifying hazards associated with instrument control and computer systems. CHAZOP is performed to investigate the types of failure modes of a new system to ensure that this new system will not result in unsafe plant operation and that adequate fallback/redundancy arrangements are in place.
This AIBM Control Hazard and Operability Analysis course introduces multiple CHAZOP methodologies and provides participants with the opportunity to engage in practical exercises, enabling them to perform the various CHAZOP methodologies with competence and confidence.
Certification Program Objectives:
- Plan, conduct, or participate in a CHAZOP study.
- Understand risk criteria within a CHAZOP. Apply both HAZID (qualitative) and HAZAN (quantitative) tools.
Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
And/or
- 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CCHAZOAP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
