The Certified Demand Planning Professional/Manager (CDPP)™/(CDPM)™ certification program is a prestigious and globally relevant qualification designed for professionals seeking to build or advance careers in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and integrated supply chain decision-making. In today’s highly competitive and demand-driven business environment, organizations must do far more than estimate future sales—they must anticipate customer needs, respond to market variability, align demand with supply capabilities, and make planning decisions that support service, efficiency, and profitability. Effective demand planning requires analytical accuracy, cross-functional coordination, structured forecasting processes, and the ability to translate market signals into actionable operational plans. This program equips participants with comprehensive expertise in forecasting methods, demand management processes, S&OP alignment, inventory optimization, and the use of modern planning technologies.
Demand planning professionals play a critical role in helping organizations balance customer demand with production, procurement, inventory, and distribution capabilities. Effective planners must understand historical data patterns, market drivers, promotional impacts, seasonality, collaboration across sales and operations, and the technologies that improve forecasting visibility and planning responsiveness. They must also balance forecast accuracy, service levels, working capital efficiency, and organizational agility while supporting better decision-making across the supply chain. The CDPP™/CDPM™ program develops analytical rigor, structured planning capabilities, cross-functional coordination skills, and technology awareness, enabling participants to confidently manage demand planning processes across varying industries and market conditions.
