The Certified Global Health Leadership Consultant (CGHLC) certification is a prestigious, internationally-oriented credential tailored for experienced professionals advising governments, NGOs, international organizations, and healthcare systems on global health strategy, policy, and program execution. Certification Program Objectives:
Upon completing the Certified Global Health Leadership Consultant (CGHLC) program, participants will be able to:
- Advise on Strategic Global Health Policy and Reform: Guide national health strategies, system transformation, and multi-level governance reform in LMIC and HIC contexts.
- Design and Evaluate Global Health Programs: Lead design, implementation, and evaluation of large-scale initiatives related to UHC, infectious disease control, maternal health, digital health, and health security.
- Facilitate Multilateral and Cross-Sectoral Partnerships: Work with UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and local stakeholders to align efforts, mobilize resources, and coordinate action.
- Navigate Global Health Financing Mechanisms: Advise on proposals, grants, and investments from institutions like WHO, USAID, World Bank, GAVI, Global Fund, and philanthropic foundations.
- Integrate Health Equity, Human Rights, and Gender Perspectives: Champion inclusive and culturally responsive strategies that address social determinants and vulnerable populations.
- Provide Executive-Level Leadership Coaching: Mentor senior health leaders and ministry officials on adaptive leadership, systems thinking, and crisis management in global health.
Certification Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for certification from The American Institute of Business and Management (AIBM) and its allied institutions, candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
And/or
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the related professional field.
Note: Applicants who do not hold a Bachelor’s degree but possess exceptional professional experience and hold significant positions within their organizations in a relevant field may also be considered for certification on a case-by-case basis, subject to the approval of the AIBM evaluation committee.
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CGHLC, student should take up a 1.5 hours online exam conducted by AIIHM.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
