Certified Estimation Professional (CEP)
The Certified Estimation Professional (CEP) professional certification program is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of estimating. The program provides an in-depth understanding of various estimation techniques, including materials and equipment estimation, overhead, profit, and other methods. Through this program, professionals will learn about project manuals, contracts, and estimation techniques that will help them to create accurate cost estimates for various projects. The program is divided into four modules, each focusing on a specific aspect of estimation.
Certification Program Objectives:
- To provide professionals with a strong foundation in estimation techniques and contracts
- To equip professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to create accurate cost estimates using project manuals and various estimation techniques
- To train professionals in materials and equipment estimation, overhead, profit, and other estimation methods
- To prepare professionals to excel in the field of estimation and to advance their careers in the construction industry.
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CEP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
