Certified Insurance Fraud Investigation Professional (CIFIP)

The Certified Insurance Fraud Investigation Professional (CIFIP) professional certification program covers the knowledge and skills required to identify, investigate, and prevent insurance fraud. The program is designed to help insurance professionals understand the various types of insurance fraud and learn the techniques and strategies used in fraud investigation. The certification program is intended to provide a comprehensive understanding of insurance fraud investigation and help professionals develop expertise in the field.

Certification Program Objectives:

  • To provide a comprehensive understanding of insurance fraud and its various types.
  • To equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to identify and investigate agent/broker fraud and underwriting irregularities.
  • To enable professionals to recognize and investigate different types of insurance fraud schemes, including vehicle insurance, property, life insurance, and liability schemes.
  • To train professionals to identify “red flags” of insurance fraud and develop effective strategies for fraud prevention and detection.

Certifying Examination:

  • To be certified as CIFIP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
  • The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
  • Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
