The Certified Investment Banking Professional (CIBP) program is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to succeed in the dynamic field of investment banking. The program covers a range of topics, from the fundamental principles of investment banking to advanced techniques for valuation and analysis. Through this program, learners will gain an in-depth understanding of the investment banking industry and its role in the global economy.
Certification Program Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the investment banking industry, its structure, and its role in the global economy.
- Learn valuation techniques for investment banking analysis, including comparable companies analysis, precedent transactions analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Develop an understanding of leveraged buyouts, including the mechanics of the LBO process and the financial analysis required to evaluate LBO opportunities.
- Explore the various aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including deal structures, valuation methods, and the regulatory environment surrounding M&A transactions.
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CIBP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
