Certified Shari’ah Non-compliance Risk Management Professional (CSNRMP)
The Certified Shari’ah Non-compliance Risk Management Professional (CSNRMP) professional certification program focuses on the important concept of Sharīah and Sharīah Non-Compliance Risk in Islamic finance. The program aims to equip professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage Sharīah Non-Compliance Risk through the implementation of various lines of defense and mitigation techniques. The program covers a range of topics, including Sharīah Compliance in Islamic Finance, Risk Elements, and Mitigation Techniques.
Certification Program Objectives:
- To understand the fundamental concept of Sharīah and Sharīah non-compliance risk
- To understand the provisions unique to Islamic banks in IFSA 2013 and Sharī`ah compliance in Islamic finance
- To identify the major risk elements of Sharī`ah non-compliance risk and the causes of non-compliance in Islamic finance operations
- To learn tools and techniques to identify incongruence in Sharī`ah compliance
- To understand the Sharīah requirements for mitigating Sharīah non-compliance risk in Islamic finance
- To learn about the lines of defense for Sharī`ah non-compliance risk management.
Certifying Examination:
- To be certified as CSNRMP, student should take up a 1.5 hours exam at the designated examination centers.
- The qualifying exam would consist of 50 multiple choice questions, testing core certification modules.
- Professionals with relevant experience and other qualifying criteria may be exempted from the examination.
